The public is invited to the City of Carlsbad’s annual citizens budget workshop Thursday, May 30, at 6 p.m., at the city’s Faraday Center, 1635 Faraday Ave. At the workshop, attendees will hear an overview of the city’s proposed 2013-14 budget and have an opportunity to ask questions and make comments. Input gathered at the workshop will be provided to the City Council. Watch a video about the city budget process.
The City Council is scheduled to receive a report on the fiscal year 2013-14 operating budget at its May 28 meeting and consider it for adoption June 11. The city’s fiscal year starts July 1. The proposed Capital Improvement Budget is available on the city website for review. The proposed operating budget will be available for review May 24.
