Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright talked to a sold-out Royce Hall audience Wednesday about the difficulty of creating effective foreign policy in the face of rapid technological change and growing global interdependence. Dean Franklin D, Gilliam Jr. of the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs moderated the discussion. Before her presentation, part of the Meyer and Renee Luskin Lecture Series, Albright received the UCLA Medal, the university's highest honor, from former Chancellor Albert Carnesale, a professor of public policy and engineering.
