The release of aWhere 2.0 opens a new era of data management and collaboration for climate-smart global development.
WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. -
The 2.0 release of the aWhere Platform comes at a time when sustainable data management services for global development are growing in importance. Complex challenges facing the developing world are increasing the need for evidence-based, data-driven decisions.
“Climate change, increased weather variability, population growth- these are issues which require quick adaption to changing circumstances,” says aWhere CEO Dr. John Corbett, “aWhere 2.0 communicates crucial information based on near real-time data, allowing global development organizations to make timely, informed, climate smart decisions in the face of these daunting challenges.”
The Platform’s intelligent design is engineered to handle agriculture and public health attributes, and encourages users to visualize and analyze data; share and collaborate with others; monitor real-time data from the field; and combine data from multiple sources, including aWhere’s own hyper-local weather content. The Platform helps development practitioners build local capacity, growing the ability to apply best practices for data management to local resources.
New Platform features allow for customization, multiple visualizations of data, the integration of third party data sources, and bring simplicity to complex information.
The Software as a Service (SaaS) Platform operates on a subscription based model. A free version of the Platform, which offers access to hyper-localized weather data for Eastern, Western, and Southern Africa; South Asia; Mexico; and Central America, is also available.
