Gift of Life Italy of NY, an organization that facilitates free medical services to sick children worldwide, credits partners for making continued work possible

(EINPresswire via NewMediaWire) - February 11, 2014 - Representatives from Gift of Life Italy of New York (http://www.giftoflifeny.org) have unveiled the foundation’s new website, which they say has been made possible through the support of its generous partners.
According to its mission statement, Gift of Life Italy of New York seeks to further the cause of world peace and understanding by facilitating free medical services in the United States, Italy, and throughout the world, to children suffering from heart disease, regardless of race, creed, sex or national origin.“Our mission is a simple one, but critical nonetheless,” says Foundation President, Francesco DiMarco, of Brooklyn. “Our goal is to offer quality care to children suffering from heart disease, who may not otherwise have access to the medical service that they need.”
According to DiMarco, Gift of Life Italy of New York covers the cost of necessary surgical and medication materials, transportation and hospitality costs for the child and a parent, as well as for airline tickets, accommodations, and food, to support surgical mission teams.
“Since pediatricians, pediatric cardiologists, pediatric cardiac surgeons, and professional medical support services generously give their time and talents without any compensation,” he explains, “we help to support their shared mission to save the lives of children around the world.”
DiMarco says that without the foundation’s partners, none of their work would be possible, including the launch of the organizations new website, which was designed to help further the mission of Gift of Life Italy of New York.
“We are incredibly pleased with our new website and are proud to announce its launch,” DiMarco continued. “The product is the result of three months of hard work on the part of our team here at Gift of Life Italy and the professional web development staff at dzine it, Inc., based in Manhattan.”
Since 2005, 140 children have received the life saving surgery as a result of the work of Gift of Life Italy of New York (http://www.giftoflifeny.org). Gift of Life Italy of New York, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
