AccelerateNFC™ Mentor program inaugural class to pitch to investors during SXSW 2014

(EINPresswire via NewMediaWire) - March 3, 2014 - OTA Ventures today announced its inaugural AccelerateNFC™ seed accelerator class will be introduced to investors on March 11, 2014, during an investor event being held in conjunction with the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas. The AccelerateNFC program is designed to nurture, mentor, advise and help fund NFC-based start-up companies to increase application development and enable businesses to drive the growth and adoption of near field communication (NFC). The Texas Entrepreneur Network (TEN), a co-host of the event, puts startups and mid-market companies in front of angel investors around the state of Texas. According to Hall Martin, TEN director and co-founder of AccelerateNFC, the seed accelerator is mentoring four companies that are developing very exciting applications of NFC technology: "Our inaugural class participants — inProximity, NFC Game Studio, TapSpaces and True Mileage — are dynamic examples of NFC companies at the forefront of innovation and technology.
