The York Enrichment Child Care Center (YECC) in Richmond Hills is owned and operated by Nelli Hooper, a trusted member of the Richmond Hill community, and a highly qualified child care provider. 
In addition to her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE), and over 20 years experience in education, Nelli Hooper boasts a background in the performing arts, attending schools in Toronto and Europe as a young child and teen. Both her professional knowledge and creative substance will be reflected in the new Blog as it is in the YECC curriculum. The new YECC Blog will particularly feature regularly updated articles containing advice on child care, parenting, child rearing, and suggestions on how to get the best for both parent and child out of the day care experience. As per her qualifications to Blog about child care and parenting issues, in addition to her professional certification, Nelli has experience in developing special programs for children at risk and has regularly taught parenting workshops.
A unique aspect of the YECC Blog will be advice on how parents can assist day care providers in preparing their children for school. “Children will learn basic skills at YECC such as feeding themselves, getting dressed, and using the washroom, while learning to socialize communicate and develop cognitive skills, but it is important for parents to continue that training at home,” she says.
