Ever wondered about the finances behind NFL football? UCLA’s proposed Institute for the Study of Economics of Sports and Society will explore "The Economics of the NFL" on Thursday, March 20. And while the event is sold out, a livestream will be set up at 6 p.m. the day of the event, and the public will be able to submit questions for the panelists. Moderated by Lee Ohanian, UCLA professor of economics, the panel discussion will feature notable UCLA football alums such as Troy Aikman, Super Bowl champion of the XXVII, XXVIII and XXX games; Super Bowl MVP XXVII and sports analyst and Gary Beban, UCLA Heisman Trophy winner in 1967 and senior executive managing director of CBRE. Also speaking will be Dr. Laurence Paul, managing principal of the Laurel Crown Partners and a minority partner of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
