HOMEJOY DEBUTS NEW HOME SERVICES IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA AHEAD OF MAJOR MARKET ROLL-OUT

SAN FRANCISCO - (NewMediaWire) - October 30, 2014 - Leading home service platform Homejoy is expanding its range of skilled services beyond cleaning to add new home services.  The new offerings include carpet cleaning, air conditioning installation and repair, furniture assembly, interior painting, TV and shelf mounting, and other handyman services.  The new services will commence in the entire San Francisco Bay Area, including San Jose, starting today, before being rolled-out to major markets in the months to come.

The addition of new home service verticals is in line with Homejoy’s goal to be the “get help” button for all clients’ home care needs.  Homejoy has been beta-testing the new services along with plumbing, landscaping, electrical services and pest control since July.   Services including window cleaning, plumbing and electrical services will remain available in beta-testing through the website.  Beta-testing allows Homejoy to test and optimize the user experience with a smaller group of users before rolling out the offering to a global audience.  It is anticipated that some of these additional home services will be launched more widely in the new year.
