Dr. Myles Samotin is celebrating 17 years of successful orthopaedic practice in Naples, FL.
NAPLES, Fla. -

Myles Rubin Samotin formed Samotin Orthopaedics with the mission of providing the highest quality orthopaedic surgical and non-surgical care to the residents of Naples, Punta Gorda, Orlando and the surrounding area.
"I don’t just want to make the pain go away for my patients. I want to restore to them their active lifestyles. This means we devote a significant amount of time and energy to correcting not only the acute conditions of the patient but also addressing any underlying causes that may be contributing to pain or the improper function of the foot, ankle or joint in question. We don't just perform surgery and send patients on their way. We work closely with them before and after surgery to ensure their recovery stays on track and they understand the role they play in that recovery through proper exercise and rehabilitation care," noted Dr. Samotin.
Born in New York City, Dr. Samotin attended Columbia University during his undergraduate years, receiving his MD from the State University of New York at Brooklyn in 1998. Dr. Samotin became a Fellow in Foot and Ankle Surgery in 1997 after graduating from the Hospital for Joint Diseases - Orthopaedic Institute. His surgical training was conducted at Maimonides Medical Center, where he completed the Orthopaedic Surgery Program in 1996.
Dr. Samotin is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, Fellow of the American Academy for Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the American Foot and Ankle Society. Prior to opening his own practice, Dr. Samotin worked with the Harkness Center for Dance Medicine where he treated dancers from the Alvin Ailey Company and the Joffrey Ballet.
In addition to foot and ankle care, Dr. Samotin treats nearly every joint in the body. Hands and wrists, shoulders and elbows, knees and hips, degenerative joint disease, arthritis, and fractures are all commonly treated at Samotin Orthopaedics.
